"No
news is good news", but not this time...
The reason I have not been updating my page since February 2002 until November 2003, is
that I have had the worst time in my life as a dog owner and a breeder.
I have lost three very special and deeply beloved bassets because of bloat
(torsion): Obelix van Hollandheim, his son Rambo Dominik and my little girl
Woodhead Just Joy.
This has been a very difficult time for me and I was very near to
quit...
I'm trying to go on and every day without that beast (=bloat) is bringing
back the joy of having these lovely friends. I have changed my dogs diet, I'm
giving them a food
which is planned to prevent bloat. It does not swell at all and
because it is very
nourishing, their portions are half of what I gave them
earlier.
I really hope that this will help...
If You have any experience of this terrible sickness, I would be very grateful to be informed.
Together we can maybe beat this monster...
